This page is all about randomness - but that's kind of why I like it.  It started off being a layout about my niece and her love for Ben but ended up being more of a confessional of my love for musicals born out of the title of the layout - so yes, I know it doesn't really make a whole lot of sense but I'm ok with that.  I had the most fun doing this layout then I have really ever had scrapping so it was worth it in the end, even if it's really just meaningful only to me!  

I get so overwhelmed sometimes thinking about all of the things I love about my life (people, events, things that have happened etc) and I think that i'll really never get fully caught up with what I want to scrap - but hopefully I can capture some of the essence of what makes now now and what makes me me so that when I'm old and like an apple doll I'll be able to look back and remember. 

Being so ridiculously busy with work has really left me with needing some way to clear my head, regroup & refocus on a regular basis and I love that being crafty has allowed me to have that, it also really lets me put things into perspective.

It has finally gotten warm here - it is about time!  when we had frost a few weeks ago I nearly cried.  The good news is I think the warm weather is here to stay!  The bad news is...no AC yet at the new place.  We are getting very creative about how to stay cool  - feel bad for poor Ben who has no idea that by running around like a bat out of hell he's only making himself hotter, he's been eating lots of ice cubes.

Well 3 nights really...full of lots of fun and lots of food.  Had a blast in NYC with my parents & K this past weekend, one of the highlights was seeing Jersey Boys - def need to get that soundtrack...totally reinforces my belief that I would have totally fit in in that era.  Aside from Jersey Boys all we did was quite literally eat and drink - it was delightful!   

Look at these flowers from Dean & Deluca...I wish I had unlimited funds and unlimited access to that place, it's seriously awesome.    

I think one of the highlights was teaching my 'rents what fugly meant.  They loved it and used it a lot during the w/end just reinforcing again why they are the greatest.  

Here is one of our celeb sightings:

Montel Williams!  We also saw Kim Raver (I think she's from 3rd watch) and the president from 24 (old guy).  Kirk is so good at celeb spotting.  He's also the one who spied Hillary Duff a few years ago.  He's a closet celeb junkie I think!  

Here's a pic of my fav. place on earth - Balthazar.  I was trying to take different pics this weekend and not use my flash...b/c #1 this screams tourist and #2 I just think pics look better.

Bachelor

Pin It Now! I *may* know someone who is a finalist for becoming a contestent on the next season of the Bachelor.

Just maybe.

It's a bit of a secret but just had to blog about it. I really hope she gets on. Would be so excited to see her compete, and I just think she may have what it takes to charm the pants off of whoever the lucky guy is. Can you beleive it? I'm practially famous by association.

If it weren't for her...

Pin It Now! If it weren't for Nicki - Kirk and I would never have met.  Nicki introduced us wheile we (Nicki and I) were living together at university - we've been together ever since.  

Here is a layout I did yesterday - I really love it, Nicki is a really special friend to both Kirk and I - I'm so glad we are friends and even though she lives as far away as possible (seriously...I really think it's about as far as you can get) I still value our time together. ....I'm also SO excited for her wedding this summer :):

The Gig Jig is up

Pin It Now! One of the more tiring this about this blog was thinking about secret names for everyone. So I've decided I'm over it. The Gig is up. Or the Jig is up - or whatever that expression is. When I started this blog it was before I was really saavy on what blogging was all about and I think I was going at it all Gossip Girl style that's a secret I'll never tell but it just requires too much brainpower to think of names each time I want to post and let's face it - most people probably have better things to do than snoop on a strangers blog....except for the fact that I do this on a regular basis...heee...

I'm sad this week to have missed out on the big Florida festivities that ALL my other work friends got to go to (sad) but looking online at scrapping stuff and getting ready for Grey's right now so the sadness is sort of fading away really quickly.
